Art on Paper 2018 - Marco De Sanctis
The booth project (Les Portes Royales) is an encounter of recent drawings and installations by Marco De Sanctis (°1983, born in Italy, lives and works in Brussels) in which he investigates the question of image reproduction and dissemination. Engaging with Europe's printmaking heritage Marco De Sanctis copies and manipulates engravings. A detail of an engraving by Piranesi has been etched into a large slab of stone, from which visitors are invited to take a graphite rubbing to produce an unlimited multiple.
